SDA Consulting has been appointed to deliver Quantity Surveying Services to support the University of Liverpool deliver its capital investment plan, over the next four years. The University of Liverpool envisage circa 130 projects to be completed over the duration of the framework at an estimated value of £200 Million.

The Frameworks will cover the refurbishment and new construction of facilities across the University estate to support a modern and sustainable campus, through improved amenities. This will enable the University to further enhance its research performance and student experience, as well as continue to drive knowledge exchange and innovation.

Demolition of the 15 storey high Osprey and Raven Court apartment blocks was completed on 7th May 2013 with work started to prepare the neighbouring tower block of Eagle Court ready for demolition. 

SDA Consulting LLP is acting as Employer’s Agent and CDM Co-ordinator on a 69 bedroom extra care facility being delivered for Your Housing Group.  The site is located on the edge of the town centre in Keswick with construction work to  commence in May 2013 following completion of bat exclusion works and demolition of the existing sheltered units.

SDA Consulting have been appointed by Housing 21 as Client Representative and Quantity Surveyor to redevelop the site of an unoccupied care home to create 22 new build bungalows.

SDA Consulting LLP have been appointed as Lead Consultant and Building Surveyor for the specialist repainting of the Lovell Telescope at Jodrell Bank Observatory in Cheshire.

SDA Consulting acted as Project Manager, Quantity Surveyor, Contract Administrator and CDM Co-ordinator on the new Venture Centre which was completed in August 2012 in time for the commencement of the 2013/2014 academic year.    The new Venture Centre is a five storey teaching building, built to a BREEAM Excellent standard, providing modern classrooms, new IT suites, a mock aeroplane cabin, a new courtyard area for socialising and a bistro run by catering students.

SDA Consulting LLP have been appointed to act as Lead Consultant and Building Surveyor on the 2013 to 2014 asbestos removal and treatment programme at the University of Manchester.  The appointment follows on from SDA successfully managing the initial phases of the works which commenced in 2009.  The value of the works is in excess of £3million and involves works on both Academic and Residential/Sports buildings. 

SDA Consulting are pleased to have been appointed by Lancaster University to deliver project management services on a four year Framework Agreement.  This will complement our separate appointment on the cost management framework.    SDA Consulting are the only appointed consultant providing both project management and quantity surveying roles to the University.

SDA Consulting are pleased to have been reappointed by Lancaster University to deliver cost consultancy services on a four year Framework Agreement.  Having worked with the University since 2002 on over 100 projects, the new agreement will see SDA Consulting continuing to support the University on an anticipated investment programme likely to amount to £20m for major projects and over £14m for minor projects over the period.

Construction and grid connection of the 100m high 2.3MW wind turbine has been successfully completed on programme.

At the invitation of the RICS, John Cosgrove of SDA Consulting attended a roundtable meeting with Michael Fallon MP, the Minister for Business on 9th October to discuss "Construction Industry and SME's : The priorities for delivering growth"

The Old Trafford Masterplan was officially launched when a ceremonial stone was laid at Essex Way which is the first phase of the Masterplan.   SDA are acting as Employer's Agent, Quantity Surveyor and CDM Co-ordinator on the scheme.  

SDA are liaising with the RICS and local MPS to discuss the current challenges faced by those in the North West construction sector in order to contribute to the work of the RICS policy unit.

SDA are pleased to be appointed on the North West Construction Hub framework for the provision of building surveying services throughout the region.  SDA have also been appointed to provide project and programme management services to the NWCH on high value projects.

SDA are proud to have acted as Quantity Surveyor on this unique £30m project in Warrington which was officially opened by HM The Queen, accompanied by HRH The Duke of Edinburgh on 17th May 2012.   

The £4.5m residential development, Overton Green and Overton Close, Frodsham has won the Local  Authority Building Control Regional Award 2012 following nominations from officers at the LABC.
