Kings Moat Community Primary School Set to welcome its first pupils in September

26/08/26: SDA Consulting LLP are pleased to have acted as  Employer’s Agent, Quantity Surveyor and Clerk of Works  on this new state-of-the-art primary school built in the Kings Moat Garden Village, Chester.    The village is a substantial new community of around 1300 homes on the southern edge of Chester with the new school officially handed over in July 2026 ahead of its September opening to its first pupils.   

The school is being delivered in two phases, ensuring it can grow alongside the community initially opening in September to preschool, reception and years 1 and two with high-quality shared facilities including a hall, kitchen and dining areas, all already designed for future expansion.  Phase two will increase capacity to 315 pupils (or 1.5 Form Entry), providing an additional 105 places when demand rises.

The project was delivered by Wynne Construction on behalf of Cheshire West and Chester Council and designed by Lovelock Mitchell Architects, with the modern, high-quality facility run by Sandstone Trust, an established multi-academy trust already responsible for four local schools.
