20/05/21: SDA are delighted to be working with Cheshire West, Chester and Cheshire East Councils providing quantity surveying services on the creation of two inspiring new history centres, one in Chester and one in Crewe.
The new buildings will not only help preserve unique heritage archives that bring Cheshire’s story to life but are also being designed to reach a wider audience, bringing the archives closer to people and presenting the unique collections in different and more engaging ways. The Centres will also support health and wellbeing learning and regeneration programmes. Both centres will be surrounded by exhibition space and cafes and will combine heritage, innovation and creativity with new technologies and entrepreneurial skills to deliver future focussed accessible archives.
The project is being designed by Ellis Williams Architects.
