Greenhaus Completes

19/03/24 - We were delighted to have attended the launch of the Greenhaus development on Chapel Street in Salford.  The 96 apartment development won the Sustainability Award at the recent Insider North West Residential Property Awards and delivers affordable homes built to Passivhaus standards with high thermal comfort and improved air quality, providing a healthier living environment and homes that are less expensive to heat and run.

The scheme has been developed by Salix Homes alongside The English Cities Fund (JV between nationwide placemaker Muse, Legal & General and Homes England) and is the largest development of its kind in the North West.   Sustainable features include triple-glazed windows, the latest insulation technology and improved ventilation and airtightness.

We acted as Purchaser’s Agent on the development with the project team including architect Buttress, engineers Alan Johnston Partnership and contractor Eric Wright.

Sue Sutton, Chief Executive of Salix Homes said “We are incredibly proud to welcome the first residents to Greenhaus, and see our vision for high quality, affordable housing brought to life.” She presented one of the first residents, mature student Harriette Matthews with her keys who said she: "just couldn't believe it - I feel so lucky."
