£2.5m demolition of 4 high rise blocks containing 34 flats each over 14 floors and 2 low rise blocks of 39 properties. One of the four towers, Falcon Court, was demolished in a dramatic controlled explosion with hundreds watching  from the safety of an Exclusion Zone.   The plunger to trigger the explosion was pressed by schoolgirl Mia Alexandra who won the Old Trafford Master Plan design-a-logo competition, sponsored by SDA Consulting LLP and other partner companies on the scheme.
